Choosing a quilting design…

I’ve been staring at this tee shirt quilt top for a while now trying to decide how to quilt it.  Originally, I was just going to use a simple pantogram.  However, I don’t want to interfer with some of the embossed ‘literature’ and I don’t want my needle to get hung up on this ‘literature’ either.  I do want to quilt the tee shirt sections so the material will keep its shape through many washings.  I’m going back and forth between a very simple, loose edge to edge pattern and the same edge to edge pattern on the tee shirts with a different pattern on the purple sashing.  Any recommendations?  How do you handle quilting tee shirt quilts?

I have picked a camel colored thread so the stitching will not stand out too much.  This is a tee shirt quilt so I don’t plan multiple thread changes.  I’m vacillating between a size 4 and 4.5 needle.

IMG_3727I have loaded the quilt top and backing sans batting onto Millie to force a decision.  I have other things to do so I will need to make a decision, get it quilted and off of my longarm.

Any words of wisdom would be fully appreciated!   Happy quilting!
