Or words this week, “Today, was a good day“. I’m having a difficult time with these words. I am lucky to feel almost every day is a good day so I could fill books with photographs. Every year gets better. But as I recently checked one item off of my bucket list, I’ll say that any day you meet your ancestors and learn something about why you are the way you are, is a good day.
Photograph taken in Umeä, the land of the Norlins and Lindströms.
And Ingatorp, the land of the Möllers and Samuelsons. Both beautiful and full of beautiful people. Happy traveling!
I know you took your wonderful trip this year but have you done any research on line? Wondering if you found a particular site that you liked.
I use ancestry.com, but more to see who else has similar information. I have information that a Swedish person pulled out, and then when I was there a historical commission did some research for me. I have been given the name of a Swedish site that I was told has all my family information and the name of the keeper, but I am holding that for cooler days. If you have Swedish ancestors, I have that website. My mother with me used to walk graveyards looking for the information she needed and visit town halls. Now, Ancestry.com provides a lot of those links. My search has really just been serendipitous.
