Ruler Storage

I have been on the search for a storage system for my large rulers.  The small ones easily fit in a drawer of my cutting table.  However, the others were always in the way.  They were either taking up space on the table or leaned against a wall.  If on the table, they interfered with my cutting.  If against the wall, I was continually stumbling over them.  I’m rather frugal, so many of the systems weren’t worth my pennies and usually took up too much space.  Here’s my solution:

I purchased a few trouser hangers.  I can now hang all of the large rulers on the wall behind the door.  Each subsequent hanger, hangs on the belt hook of the prior hanger.  I can easily change the order so the ruler that I am using is easily accessible.Image

This cost me approximately $12.00.  Problem solved.  Happy quilting!

What a great idea. So much better than my method of leaving them on the floor!
