As I previously mentioned, I am making a memory quilt for a customer. I’ve deconstructed the shirts and then reconstructed the material as a quilt top.
After the deconstruction, the piece cutting began.
Due to all the pieces, I resorted back to using the floor as my design wall for the layout:
I prefer an accent fabric to provide a little energy to a memory quilt top. The accent fabric also helps to stabilize the many times washed and slippery shirt material. I’m going for a randomly pieced quilt top. Here’s a peek preview of the the sewn top:
This quilt top will be foremost in my mind when I purchase more pantograph designs at MQX NE this week.
